Effectively involving users in your organisation

A variety of courses are offered. Below is a sample course that was designed with a particular group in mind. I can tailor make courses to suit your needs

Sample Course

This course is aimed at organisations who want to involve, or are already involving users in running the organisation. The users may undertake very specific roles in the organisation or may be members of the management committee.

The course covers:
  • Different perspectives on user involvement
  • Barriers to user involvement and common difficulties that arise
  • Finding out what users will need in order to be involved
  • Practical ways of making it a positive experience for the users and the organisation
  • The charity commission view on users on management committees
  • Developing and implementing a plan for user involvement
The course uses a variety of exercises, case study work and reflection on own practice. Time is built into the course for planning how you will implement user involvement in your organisation.
